Long before the lights went out at the 2026 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, the 1300TempFence team was already in action. With months of planning, preparation and on-site delivery, our team provided extensive temporary fencing and site security solutions across key operational and public areas to help support one of Australia’s most exciting major events.

With a three-month bump-in period, the project demanded careful planning, staged installation and constant coordination as the precinct continued to evolve. Working alongside multiple contractors and adapting to ongoing site changes, the 1300TempFence team delivered a seamless, high-quality result from start to finish.

Comprehensive Temporary Fencing Solution

This year’s Australian Grand Prix brought a major scale-up in infrastructure requirements, with a significantly larger and more complex fencing and site security rollout than the previous year.

To support the scale of the event, our team delivered an extensive and highly adaptable fencing package across the precinct, including:

• 26.2km of temporary fencing (1.8m and 2.1m)
• 9.6km of semi-permanent fencing (1.8m and 2.1m)
• 4.82km of custom Formula 1 combo fencing (1.8m and 2.1m combined)
• 1.9km of weedmat (1.8m and 2.1m)
• 2.8km of razor wire loop with single strand barb for increased security

To manage high pedestrian volumes and ensure strengthened site security across the venue, we installed:

• 3.8km of crowd control barriers (CCBs)
• 28 KI100 barriers with toppers
• 2 custom Formula 1 self-closing gates
• 54 twin gate wheels and 8 standard gate wheels for improved mobility and access control
• 10 strategically placed site cameras
• 149 acoustic curtains to assist with noise management and site separation

This approach ensured not only a secure perimeter but also a safe, functional and well-organised event environment.
