CASE STUDY: CADEL EVANS CYCLING RACE

Placed along the Great Ocean Road and inspired by Europe’s highly regarded cycling races, the Cadel Evans Cycling Race engages thousands of participants of all ages and abilities to take part in one of the world’s most scenic bike rides. 1300TempFence had the utmost pleasure supplying the event this year.

One of the key challenges of this project was to provide adequate safety barriers and crowd control measures, without causing major disruption to the Great Ocean Road, one of Victoria’s most popular tourist destinations. The project was executed by a team of three project managers who worked out of hours and on weekends to ensure that there was minimal disruption to the local community, tourists and motorists.

We were contracted to install:

• 3770 x CCBs
• 2830 x CCBs with angled feet
• 843 x Plastic / Concrete feet

Thanks to the meticulous planning and execution by our expert team, the project was completed on time and without any issues or disturbance to the local community. After the race, all stock was efficiently dismantled to return the region back to normal.
