CASE STUDY: AFL GATHER ROUND

In April 2023, Adelaide played host to the AFL Gather Round Event, a celebration of footy that saw nine games, across three venues, over four days. Our expert South Australian team worked diligently to transform the locations of Mt Barker, Norwood, Pinky Flat and Elder Park into safe and secure spaces for the event to take place in.

Overall, we supplied:

Mt Barker: Over 3.5kms of temporary fencing, consisting of 1.5km of spec fencing as well as 480 meters of crowd control barriers and white picket fencing.

Norwood: 158 meters of spec fence and 253 meters of crowd control barriers

Pinky Flat: 466 meters of spec fence

Elder Park: 1.5kms of spec fence, 200 meters of crowd control barriers, ground protection mats and white picket fencing.

The install was no small task. It took three weeks to install at Mt Barker, with 8 semis and two crews working daily, and one week for Elder Park. The Pinky Flat and Norwood locations were installed in one day each. To ensure  installation was completed in time, our teams worked weekends and after hours.

It’s safe to say that the AFL Gather Round, Festival of Footy was a fantastic success that we were proud to be a part of.
