Delivering Safety and Scale at Summernats 2026

Summernats 2026 bought the noise, the crowds and the unmistakeable energy of one Australia’s most iconic car festivals. 1300TempFence was proud to be back again supporting the safe and smooth operation of this high calibre event. With compressed timeframes and constant site activity, our team adapted quickly to keep the project moving and event-ready.

Over the bump in period, our team delivered:

A standout addition this year was the rollout of our new slide gate system, helping improve traffic flow and access control across the site. Our Shield 1 barriers at Skid Row also allowed organisers to operate two active lanes for the first time, supporting a better experience for both event teams and attendees.

Tight timelines and onsite challenges

With another event scheduled at the venue immediately beforehand, the available bump-in period was reduced by approximately three days. Combined with evolving site requirements and additional barrier requests, the build demanded flexibility and fast problem-solving from our crews.

Drawing on previous experience at Summernats, our team adapted quickly to changing site requirements throughout the build. Installation schedules were adjusted where needed, additional equipment was sourced, and crews worked extended hours to keep the project on track.

This proactive approach helped keep the event site safe, secure and fully operational from bump-in through to pack-down, ready to support the crowds, energy and excitement Summernats is known for.
