As one of Melbourne’s most iconic summer events, the St Kilda Festival transforms the St Kilda foreshore into a vibrant, high-energy celebration of live music, culture and community. With tens of thousands of patrons moving through the precinct, safe operations, effective crowd control and secure site management were critical to the event’s success.
Our experienced events team worked efficiently behind the scenes to install the temporary infrastructure required to support a smooth, safe and well-managed festival. Following the event, our team also delivered a rapid and efficient dismantle and removal, ensuring St Kilda was quickly returned to its bustling coastal hub.
What we supplied & installed
Across the event, we provided and installed;
- 1,509 metres of 54km/hr spec 70% temporary fencing
- 1,912 metres of crowd control barriers
- 453 metres of shade cloth (including customer-supplied)
This large-scale installation established secure perimeters, defined operational zones and strengthened vehicle and pedestrian separation throughout the event.

With windy coastal conditions and significant crowd numbers, our 54km/hr wind-rated engineered temporary fencing was perfect for providing enhanced stability in exposed areas. While our Crowd control barriers supported effective pedestrian flow and queue management, while strategically placed shade cloth contributed to both site presentation and brand awareness.
