When Georgiou in partnership with DM Civil, was selected to deliver the Alkimos to Wanneroo Desalination Pipeline Project, they turned to our expert Western Australian team for reliable site safety and security solutions.
This vital infrastructure project, delivered in alliance with Water Corporation involves the design, construction and commissioning of 27.5kms of the 33.5 km below-ground pipeline. Once complete, it will transfer drinking water from the future Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant (ADSP) to the Wanneroo Reservoir via Carabooda Tanks, supporting the long-term water needs of Perth and its surrounds.
With works spanning multiple sites and a tight project schedule, our team provided a comprehensive solution tailored to the evolving needs of the Alkimos Pipeline Alliance.
To date, we’ve supplied and installed:
- 11km of Temporary Fence, with support stays every 6th panel for enhanced bracing and stability
- 9 x 360-degree site security cameras with in-ground installation
- 1 x 180-degree site security camera
- 1 x double turret site security camera
- 6 x 360-degree site security cameras with above-ground installation
- Site security monitoring
- 8 portable toilets
- 3kms of silt fencing
Our team navigated access limitations by collaborating closely with the alliance partners site crews, who helped support us by utilising their forklifts to unload our trucks. Despite the project’s tight deadlines and short install period, we delivered and installed all products on time, with zero disruption to works.
