CASE STUDY:
SYDNEY PRIDE MARCH

After a massive week, the WorldPride Festival concluded with a crowd of 50,000 participants taking to Sydney Harbour Bridge for the historic annual Pride March. 1300TempFence had the pleasure of suppling crowd control barriers for the coveted event.

We were contracted to install 1,782 meters of Crowd Control Barriers (CCBs) within 90 minutes, and were tasked to remove them within an hour at the completion of the event. The biggest challenge faced by the team was the tight timeline. They had to install and remove the barriers within a short period, and failure to do so could disrupt the event. The team also had to contend with logistical challenges, including traffic and access to the bridge.

With 15 crew members and 2 supervisors appointed to the event. Installation occurred at night where the team met on site at 3:30am to ensure that everything was set up and installed by 7am. Upon completion of the Pride March, the barriers had to be removed within an hour and our expert team were able to complete the task with 15 minutes to spare. The team’s efficiency ensured that traffic disruptions to the Harbour Bridge were prevented.

The team’s professionalism, expertise, and attention to detail ensured that the barriers were installed and removed within the tight timeline, and that the event went smoothly.
